FOCUS ON: BEECH CLASS

.......................................................... In Beech Class the children have been showing Miss Dixon and Miss Redding that they are ready for Year One, working extremely hard. In Literacy, the children have been creating their own role-play area with labels and signs to develop good speaking and listening skills. This has then developed some fantastic writing in class. In Numeracy, the children have been working hard to recall their number bonds to help in mental maths sessions. The children have also been learning about Evelyn Glennie, the deaf percussionist who played at the Olympics, which interested the children greatly – how does she ‘hear’ the music? The children made their own instruments and worked out how to make sounds.
