Acknowledgements This booklet was originally published in 2008. I am grateful to CTS for inviting me to reissue it. I would like to repeat my thanks to my wife, Caroline, who has always had a strong interest in Ă“scar Romero, and to the Bishop of Elphin (the Rt Revd Kevin Doran) and Mungo Lockhart, in whose homes in Ireland and Burgundy respectively much of the work for the original booklet was done. At that time I also received a lot of support from the then Bishop of East Anglia, the Rt Revd Michael Evans, who died in 2011, and I would like to dedicate this revised edition to his memory.
