ince its inception in 2002, CJC Fencing has won many trophies and continues to make CJC an attractive school of choice for experienced fencers. Right from the start, Anthony Tsang (2002) and Jay Foo (2003) already represented Singapore in competitions in the Asia-Pacific region. Soon after getting our own room 5 in 2004, CJC earned our first gold medal through Jeraldine Koh (2005) in the Individual Epee event. In 2009, CJC achieved our first Men’s ‘A’ Division Overall Champion. More recently between 2011 and 2012, 2015 SEA Games gold medallist (Women’s Foil Team) Liane Wong (2012) also represented both our college and our country extensively during her time in CJC.

Our fencers are characterised by the spirit of adventure and constantly look out for different avenues to push their limits. Graduated seniors also frequently return to spar with the current fencers, handing down the legacy of the college values of Truth and Love since the beginning. Recent achievements include Leon Chan’s (2T17) 8th placement in rankings of the Men’s Sabre Individual Event in the Novice Fencing Championships, as well as the overall third placing for both the men’s and the women’s teams in the National Inter-School Fencing Championships 2015. This year, Rachel Lam(1T02, 2015) attained silver for the Individual Women’s Foil Event and joint bronze for Individual Women’s Sabre, whilst Nicholas Choong (1T06, 2015) clinched the joint bronze for the Individual Men’s Foil. 1 Cheryl and Roshnie scoring a point against each other in an epee match 2 Isaac scores a point against Jie Yang as our other fencers watch intently 3 Leon performing an impressive stunt and scoring against Wilson in the process 4 Display of trophies as well as epee fencing demonstration during Open House 2015
