Fraser Coast Markets It is hard to resist the appeal of a local market, with its fresh, seasonal produce direct from the farm gate, handmade creations, original giftware and grassroots colour and entertainment. Fill your picnic hamper with fresh local produce from the market stalls throughout the region, including macadamia nuts, nectarines, lychees, honey and peaches. On the Fraser Coast, market lovers are spoilt for choice, with one to visit each Thursday and every weekend.

MARYBOROUGH HERITAGE CITY MARKETS Thursdays 8am – 1.30pm Adelaide and Ellena Streets

Every Thursday, Maryborough’s city centre undergoes an amazing transformation into a colourful outdoor heritage bazaar. Wander around over 120 stalls with an amazing array of farm fresh produce and unique wares. Original hand-made craft, homemade treats, artwork, jewellery, clothes, accessories, natural beauty products and gorgeous cut flowers. Meet a cast of characters in historical dress, including the Town Crier, and hear the firing of the historic time cannon at 1pm. Soak up the atmosphere of music and entertainers and enjoy weekly giveaways. Enjoy hot food stalls, relax at an inner city café or find wonderful condiments and gourmet pantry items to take home. Make a day of it in the city and join a guided Heritage Walk Tour from outside the City Hall at 9am, ride on a replica steam engine through nearby Queens Park or cruise the historic waterways of the Mary River.
