Welcome to the first ever edition of

Bradford Queer Film Festival and to a bumper inaugural programme. We were stunned to receive over 800 submissions for consideration at this year’s festival. After much deliberation we’re proud to present over 70 shorts alongside features, documentaries and cult classics. LGBTQIA+ people are beautiful, creative and resilient, and I hope this programme reflects that in some small way. I hope you find space here to celebrate, reflect and take pride in our international community, while becoming even more at home in our local one. Space has been built into the festival for socialising, chatting and sharing, and I hope you find joy in this and maybe new friends too. Queer spaces and events are essential and we’re proud to have so many partners and host organisations who agree. I would also like to thank all of our programme advisors, event managers and volunteers. Now sit back, relax, enjoy the programme—and of course, tell everyone you know about it. Thanks and see you at the screenings, Alice ( Festival Director)
