Charlton Athletic Women FC has begun the new season slowly with goal scoring proving difficult. However, in their most recent match in the FA Continental Cup, though pitched together with Women’s Super League and full-time professional side Brighton & Hove Albion, the women’s display gives great cause for optimism and hopes of better things to come.
Playing in less than ideal conditions, Charlton impressed for the most part, looking confident on the ball and holding their full-time opponents almost until half time, but fitness told in the end as Brighton ran out comfortable 3-0 winners, thanks in part to two second-half penalties.

Franke, the kitchen solution company, has seen its products appear in BBC2s Your Home Made Perfect. Franke’s Kubus sink and a Neptune tap were chosen by a couple on the property makeover series, in which homeowners choose between radically different plans for their properties presented using virtual reality and visual effects.
Franke's stone grey sink and complementary brass tap were selected by St Alban’s couple Helen and Rob, for their industrial style kitchen. The design look was chosen after two architects presented competing plans to transform the back part of the property, which had previously been an assortment of
unpractical rooms. Jeanette ward, Franke Communications Manager, said: “We are thrilled that Helen and Rob chose the design from architect Laura Jane Clark which included our contrasting Kubus sink and striking Neptune tap in brass for their stunning kitchen makeover; they really complemented the
modern yet homely warehouse-style kitchen space.
