VER 40 MUSEUMS presenting art, cultural heritage, natural history, and science will open their doors and invite visitors to view their collections free of charge during the 15th annual Museums Free-for-All day set for January 25th. Locally, Santa Barbara Museum of Art and Santa Barbara Natural History Museum, both members of SoCal Museums, will participate, by offering free admission on that date. The Santa Barbara Historical Museum will also be participating as an affiliate member. “We’re proud to celebrate 15 years of Free-for-All, welcoming visitors across Southern California to enjoy a wide variety of museums. It’s a great chance to revisit old favorites or discover something new,” Jennifer Caballero, SoCal Museums President and Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Marketing Director at the Skirball Cultural Center, said in a news release. “I’m always impressed by the range of cultural offerings.” Museums Free-for-All also serves to remind the people of Southern California that free visitor days are available year-round at museum across the area.
