Vista Alegre Porcelain Moon Flask 23 x 18 cm

This polychrome and gilt moon flask is made o� Vista Alegre porcelain and has a silver lid (with Porto assay mark Aguia 925). The piece is beautifully adorned with two illustrations. On one side is a ship and on the other, the coat of arms of King John II, the king of Portugal (1481 to 1495), regarded as “one of the greatest European monarchs” in the 15th century. On its base, two Vista Alegre marks are found, no. 36 (in blue color) and 38 (in gold), indicating that the piece was already in force between 1980 and 1997. An inscription too is written that reads, “V Centenário da morte de D. João II Série especial.”

A rare piece of finest French porcelain from a 20th-century master. Blue colored posies are interwoven with pure gold grapes on the vine. Two posies are inside the box and under its lid. Vista Alegre “Indias” Model Porcelain Service Set Vista Alegre dinner service and tea and coffee sets, both “Indias” model, dated back to 20th century. On the one hand the dinner service carries mark no. 36, indicating its production between 1980 and 1992. It includes flat dishes, soup dishes, fruit dishes, dessert dishes, tureen, salad bowl, gravy boat with tray, pair of azeitoneiras [for olives], chargers, platters, cups of tea and its saucers, cups of coffee and its saucers,

coffee pot, tea pot, milk jugs, sugar bowls, a cake dish and pan. On the other hand, another part of service set have mark no.32 (1947-1968), which includes consommé cups, and cups for coffee with its saucers.

Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-1873) is a British painter from the Victorian era known for his expertise of animal paintings and subjects having been sent by his father at the young age of 5 to go out into the fields to sketch farm animals. Men in Tavern 40 x 30cm An oil on canvas painting depicting a scene of men gathered in a tavern. Painted in the 19th century by German artist Bruno Blatter. The men are seen smoking with pipes and drinking beers. One of them reads a paper, with which he recites either a prose or a poem, that his peers enjoy. According to the existing re4cords. Blatter was born on 1870 and was a known visual artist in Western Europe. Most of his works deal with the same stylization, as influenced by the English school of painting.
