Fall Recital

We will be holding a fall recital where our dancers will get to showcase what they have learned over the 9 weeks of sessions. The recital will take place the second or third week of November after all classes have finished. Exact date, time, and location is to be determined.

Ballet

An academic dance form and technique which is taught according to specific methods. Ballet is the basis of almost every dance style and its techniques are very important for classes such as lyrical, contemporary, and jazz.

Hip Hop

Hip-Hop is a style of dance constantly evolving with the culture of music. Classes learn different styles of hip hop by doing different combinations of movements each week.

Modern/Lyrical

An expressive powerful form of dance that relies on the technique and skills learned in ballet and jazz.

Tap

Tap is a style of dance characterized by its unique precession movements of the feet. The higher the level of tap, the more intricate the movements become. Tap shoes are required.

Thankful Theatricals

Ages 5 - 12 years EB

Theatrical skills will be explored as well as embracing what we are “thankful” for. Students should bring a water bottle and wear clean gym shoes with socks. Ballet or jazz shoes preferred, though not required. Instructor will break students into age groups at the start of the workshop. Location: Community Center Min/Max: 3/10 Instructor: Holly Rose Moss

Teen & Adult Core Dance & Tone

Ages 13 years & older EB

Shake off the holiday stress! Using movements from Pilates, Yoga, and ballet, we will tone, lengthen, and stretch. Instructor will modify movements to cater to all individuals. Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and wear clean gym shoes and socks. Ballet or jazz shoes suggested, though not required. Location: Community Center Min/Max: 3/10 Instructor: Holly Rose Moss

Musical Theater Stars

Students will learn singing, dancing, and acting elements in a team-oriented environment. Perfect for students who love to take the spotlight! Ballet/Lyrical Intensive

Ages 7 - 14 years EB

This fast paced, ballet focused intensive, is perfect for dancers who want to brush up on their ballet technique. Class consists of ballet conditioning, short combinations or ballet repertoire, and time to explore the inner voice of being a dancer. New students are welcome to participate, as modifications will be made to challenge each dancer accordingly. Ballet or jazz shoes are preferred, dancing in clean socks is acceptable. Dance Program Information

The Cary Park District is excited to partner with Dancepiration Dance Studio in Crystal Lake to expand dance program offerings to the community. These classes are not run by the Cary Park District.

Location

These classes will be held at Dancepiration Dance Studio, 835 S. Virginia Road, Crystal Lake, IL 60014

Payments

Class payments can be split into 4 monthly payments at the time of registration.

Winter Showcase

All classes will be included in the Winter Showcase taking place on December 10. Location is TBD. Tickets can be purchased at the studio for $12 during the weeks leading up to the showcase.

Costumes/Attire

Dance costume purchase is required through Dancepiration Dance Studio. Cost of the dance costume is approximately $50 - $60. Dancers will be required to wear appropriate shoes according to the discipline they are participating in.
