Children’s Theater Company of Cary

Grades 2nd - 6th EB

Develop confidence, creativity, and stage presence while participating in a Cary Park District directed performance. Learn what it takes to make theater magic happen in a fun, yet driven environment. Students audition for a role in the play, are cast by the director, and will rehearse until show time. All students are guaranteed a speaking role in the play. Students will also play games while working on impromptu, projection, and listening skills. Students must be available for all rehearsals and the performance day. Tech week will take place the entire week preceding the performance. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed. The performance will be held on November 4. Youth Theater Company of Cary

Grades 6th - 9th EB

The Cary Youth Theater Company is designed to challenge a junior high age group interested in performing, while learning all aspects leading up to and including a show! Classes will include play rehearsals, impromptu skits, and theater games. In addition to acting in their own play, this group may volunteer to help direct the Children’s Theater Company of Cary performance! Put your Assistant Director hat on and learn about lighting, sound, scene mapping, and set design. Students must be available for all rehearsals and the performance day. Dramatic Debut

Ages 3 - 5 years EB

Let your imagination run wild with the world of drama! This action-packed program explores drama through movement, imagination, group games, and story playing. Using puppets and props, children practice and perform classic children’s stories. We learn to be “characters” and to be comfortable pretending in this class. Ebenezer’s Christmas Carol

A Children’s Theater Company of Cary Production

Join Children’s Theater Company of Cary for our special holiday production of Ebenezer’s Christmas Carol! 2nd grade-9th grade can sign up for a part in this fun and festive performance. Auditions will be held the first day of class and everyone will have a speaking role. You will be contacted by the show director via email prior to the first meeting date to organize script pick-up. Participants are expected to memorize their lines by December 1st. Participants must be able to attend the show and rehearsals. Rehearsals are Tuesday/Thursday, 11/15, 11/17, 12/12, and 12/13 from 5:45-7:30 pm and Tuesday/Thursday, 11/29, 12/1, 12/6, and 12/8 from 5:45 - 7:00 pm. No class 11/22, 11/24.
