Healthcare Facility

8 * This project was selected by Kent State professors to be kept for accreditation and submitted to the Steelcase student design competition

Design a healthcare facility located in Seattle, Washington, that incorporates nature as well as considers employee engagement and productivity. A large focus of this project was collaboration and community involvement. This project was based on the requirements of the 2017 Steelcase design competition.

The design is based on the concept of rediscover. The rediscovery of commercial healthcare facilities is the idea that they are not only designed to be functional but to connect on a deeper more emotional level with the individuals that utilize the space every day. Inspired by natural caves, the various spaces of the facility inspire exploration and curiosity. The project was designed and rendered through Autodesk Revit.
