Project Objective

Design a space in an existing historic building along North Water Street in Kent, Ohio, thoughtfully curated to attract the public and make the mill district in kent a place of social function. Without project scope limitations, the potential was limitless and helped formulate a timeless blend between the environment, the architecture and the interior.

Project Description

The project, which started from 1940’s construction plans to a digitally rendered design concept, was developed from the ground up to be a year-round farmers market and cafe. The site location composed of a historic saloon and drive-thru bank, which provided the bones for the design. The farmers market itself was designed to give a permanent home to the local vendors and provided a flexible transformative space for the community to utilize during all four seasons. This project was designed and rendered through Autodesk Revit.
