Fred Moyer Jazz Trio What can safely be called the only jazz group of its kind, the Fred Moyer Jazz Trio is stunning audiences with both its own improvisations and its note-for-note transcriptions of the best trio performances of historic piano giants. Fred and friends create a score by painstakingly transcribing every note of a favorite jazz performance, and then approach the score just as they would a chamber music work of Beethoven and Mozart, not changing the notes while staying true to the style, but interpreting the music in their own way. The end result is an entertaining and swinging celebration of the best in jazz. 16

Musical America recently selected the group as “New Artists of the Month” for May 2016, further setting the Verona Quartet apart as one of the most compelling young quartets in chamber music. The Verona Quartet has had a busy 2016-17 season with nearly fifty performances spread across fifteen states and Canada.
