TORCH FELLOWS
WHO WE SERVE:
9th-12th graders who:
-are first-generation college students and/or have significant financial need
-have demonstrated academic promise
OVERVIEW:
The Torch Fellows Program is a free, 10-month after-school program that pairs high-performing, under-resourced high school students, called “Fellows,” with a comprehensive set of academic, college-readiness, and social-emotional learning programs and experiences which include:
College application guidance, standardized test prep, writing coaching, 1:1 mentoring, academic tutoring, coverage of college application costs, career exploration and leadership development opportunities, access to CYC's Youth Union, and a tight-knit community of like-minded peers
This program ensures each Fellow is prepared to identify, gain entrance to, and successfully matriculate through a college that is an academic, social, and financial fit.
