01. La Quinta Hotel
Voyage Design La Quinta Corporate asked us to come up with a design scheme proposal for their new prototype hotels. The design I proposed is based on the concept of a Voyage. The definition of a Voyage is, “A long journey to a foreign or distant place, especially by sea”. I

took elements of this concept to come up with a design that is both modern and contemporary.

The mix of warm browns and greys gives the room an upscale feel. As for the flooring, I decided to go with inset rugs to define each area of the room as well as add some comfort in the space. The artwork displays up-close images of nature which adds a fresh element that is easy to maintain.

Less Is More Carmel by the Sea is a 19 room update. This property is located in California by many breathtaking views of wine valleys and beaches. Our client was looking for guests to feel calm and relaxed in the guestrooms, For this reason, we kept the

Concept These modern interior design guestrooms are inspired by the calming natural sea. The room incorporates rich navy blues and coral accents with light finish casegoods, to keep the space feeling airy, clean, and sophisticated. The artwork highlights some of the surrounding local beaches for guests to feel welcomed to the area while they stay.

03. Holiday Inn Jonesboro AR
Holiday Inn Jonesboro, is within a 10-minute drive of Arkansas State University and Arkansas Continued Care Hospital. This hotel has a total of 100 guest rooms and a large custom lobby that includes a dining and bar area. For the guest rooms, our client went with the prototypical brand design. As for the public area we worked with our client and developed a design that was inline with Holiday Inn

standards. The design color scheme is fun and vibrant, while the layout contains flexible multi-functional spaces to relax and recharge, as well as be productive and connect.

04. Berkman Apartments Rochester MN
The client for Berkman Apartments purchased 78 units for us to design. These apartments are located at the edge of downtown Rochester, with convenient access to bike trails, bus stops, and more. It is also directly across from Mayo Clinic’s Saint Marys Hospital. For the design, we focused on making the apartments feel like home to all guests. The style we went for is a mix of mid-century modern and contemporary

design. We layered textures and patterns in the furniture to bring a cozy feel while keeping the walls white to give the rooms and overall polished and clean aesthetic.

05. Prototypical Design Highlighted Projects
For these projects, I worked with corporate hotel brands and hotel owners to ensure that the building’s interior design comply with the current design requirements. As you might know, hotel brands (such as Hilton, Hampton. Holiday Inn Express, etc.) like to maintain a certain trademark look. This is my job, to make sure all new construction, renovations, and conversion properties exceed hotel brand

expectations. My responsibilities included working on all construction drawings, including CAD floor plans, elevations, providing all FF&E / finishes specs, and submitting full design packages to hotel brands for approval.

Arizona Build This New Construction Hotel is a 4 story structure featuring 72 rooms with an indoor pool and gym. Its location is in close proximity from the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. For the design we to took inspiration from surrounding region and displayed some of Arizona's iconic images

Designing On A Budget This newly renovated La Quinta is located in five minutes from Downtown Champaign Illinois with a total of 99 guestrooms. For this design we wanted to stick with a more modern style with the dark casegoods and vary shades of grey finishes. We worked with our client to keep the design within budget and

Teddy Bear Day & Night Care Center
Problem & Solution The number of working parents is increasing, creating an ever-growing need for quality child care. Teddy Bear Day and Night Care Center fills the need of these working parents. This facility’s carefully thought out design includes classrooms, activities play areas and a sleeping room.

Concepts: Components of a Coloring book This concept is based on the components of a coloring book. Why a coloring book? Because both children and adults still use coloring books as a source of therapy and creativity. Simplicity is the key to this design, designing for the modern -day child. The idea is that the space is defined by black and white planes creating an overall clean look. Color is brought into the space by the children’s toys and their creative art pieces. The space incorporates natural elements such as wood and cork to mimics the raw material coloring books are made of.

The Activity Room is located in the entry of the building. This room provides kids of all ages with activities to stimulate educational playtime. From reading areas to computer stations it covers all the kid’s needs in a safe environment.

SLEEP & PLAY DESIGN AREAS
The Sleep Room provides a space where kids can relax and wind down from a long day of play. Bunk beds surround the room giving space in the central area for kids to sit and read or watch a movie before taking a nap. The cork flooring and carpeting are finishes specifically used in this design to reduce noise and acoustics.

Second Level Floor Plan The second floor has four separate age level classrooms. All classroom doors open into a central play area designed to provide each child with the opportunity to interact with children of different ages and stages of development.

09. Chalayan Retail Chicago IL
Client : Hussein Chalayan The client for this project is a famous British/ Turkish fashion designer. His designs incorporate the human body, technology, architecture, and science. He is known for combining his artistic fashion with music and cinema, creating a show for his viewers. The interior design for this property displays

Concepts: Galaxy The concept for this design is inspired by a Galaxy. The concept of a galaxy plays off the designs of Chalayan’s futuristic clothing pieces with his use of non-conventional materials such as LED lights, plastics, and metals. The use of black and white finishes with pops of color throughout the space, gives the overall interior a sleek and modern look, highlighting the designers work.
