SILVER RIVER GARDEN DESIGN
PRELIMINARY DESIGN
Renderings and plan for LA 3325, Professor Qing Lana Luo, Fall 2019 Brief: To design the landscaping for a home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I was inspired by the slope of the site to create a rainwater catchment basin with water-filtering rushes and lotus to create a swim pond. The dry stream bed through the perennial meadow follows the grade and meanders into the pond. A large vegetable garden and berry patch soaks up the sunniest aspect, and a live oak at the high point of the site is the metaphorical world tree providing shade and shelter.
