Applications: EHT Steri-Sil is manufactured from a medical grade clear silicone rubber polymer producing a very high grade, soft pliable hose making it ideal for critical pharmaceutical, biomedical, food, and cosmetic applications.

Inlays: Polyester yarn braiding enhancing the performance in elevated pressure applications without compromising flexibility. Coil Length: 10M

Applications include both high and low temperature fluid transfer, bottle filling, food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Laboratory tubing.

Colours: Alternative colours available upon request for liner and cover

Steri-tube Silicone Tubing

Applications: Steri-tube is a seamless, translucent, highly flexible silicone elastomer tubing, completely free of plasticisers or additives. Steri-tube may be sterilized by autoclaving, ETO or irradiation. Platinum cured Steri-tube is used extensively in food processing and pharmaceutical plants for peristaltic pumps, electrical insulation blood transfusion and microbiology areas. A hi-tear grade version is available for peristaltic pumps. Temperature Range: -60oC to +200oC o Sterilisation using hot air to 250 C Steam to 3.8 bar

Thermopol Silicone hose Description: Silicone rubber reinforced with one ply of fabric. Usually manufactured by extrusion but mandrel-wrapped versions are also available. Can be supplied cut to length or on a continuous reel when extruded. Applications: Designs available to operate with aggressive long life coolant solutions. Medium duty PVC suction and delivery hose

Applications: A medium weight PVC hose, reinforced with a semi-rigid crush resistant white PVC helix. It is tough, flexible and extremely durable under normal operating conditions.

It has outstanding resistance to the effects of weather. Minimum frictional loss is achieved by the smooth bore.

Description: A heavy duty PVC hose, reinforced with a semi-rigid crush resistant white PVC helix. Excellent resistance to pressure, vacuum, abrasion and accidental crushing with accurate pitch and placement of high tensile carbon steel helix preventing bulging and bursting. Applications: ERIKS Hose Technology (EHT) is expert in the supply of PTFE tube. We offer a very comprehensive range of standard sizes to satisfy most needs. PTFE tube has the best chemical resistance (alongside PFA) of all o o known polymers. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s temperature range of -70 C to +265 C opens up PTFE tubing to many applications most other polymers canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t withstand. The electrical insulation properties of PTFE tubing are superb making it an ideal choice for electrical sleeving. Chemical dosing & metering pumps require long continuous lengths of PTFE tube, very difficult to produce but possible with EHT.

Resistant to water and organic salt solutions, diluted bases and acids as well as concentrated bases have no effect, but all will discolour and crack under the action of concentrated nitric and sulphuric acids particularly at high temperatures.

PU Superflex

PU ducting, delivery

Description: Ether based Polyurethane duct reinforced with an anti-shock rigid PVC helix. Completely smooth inside, corrugated outside. Wall thickness from 0,4 to 0,8 mm.

Applications: Suction of liquids and dry food such as grains, animal feed, sugar, flour etc. Suitable for fatty foods, but not for milk or dairy products.

Properties: High mechanical properties: light, really flexible, easy to bend. Really good resistance to microbes, hydrolysis, ozone, weather conditions, UV , and chemicals. Halogens free conform to RoHS as well as phthalates free.

Ohm Hose: Antistatic version also available with a copper wire. By earthing the copper wire the duct is electrically bonded. The electrical resistance R ≤ 102 Ohm/m is according to ISO 8031 - ATEX Directive 94/4/EC and 99/92/EC.

Wyrem

Heavy-duty ducting, suction and delivery

Applications: Extremely durable and robust ducting manufactured from a 2-ply Neoprene coated cotton fully encapsulating 2 spring steel helices, the inner helix visible while the outer one is trapper within the cotton layers. Wyrem is very robust, making it ideal for general purpose dust and fume extraction, light solid handling and industrial ventilation. Wyrem is not pressure tight and therefore should not be used in applications where the pressure exceeds 0.35bar.

Plastiflex

Vacuum Cleaner Hose

Applications: EHT Plastiflex has excellent crush and kink resistance and is extremely durable. If crushed the hose springs back to its former shape. This is due to the interlocking plastic profiled strip. This gives superb flexibility and capability to bend very tightly with no constriction of the inner dimensions. The hose is entirely of plastic which makes it very light weight. The inner surface is recessed and has a smooth finish, reducing flow resistance and easing the feeding of cables. Plastiflex has many uses, it’s main one being for the industrial vacuum cleaner as it is very light and very robust. However Plastiflex is also often used for carwash and other industrial applications. Properties:  Plastiflex is ideal for industrial vacuum cleaners but can also be used for the protection of electrical cables  For suction and delivery of water and slurries etc.

Description: A flexible hose produced with Biovinyl™ and reinforced with steel spiral and polyester yarn. Completely free of phthalates. Resistant to several chemicals and to weather conditions.

APPLICATIONS: Ideal solution for suction and delivery of Bio range, food liquids, beverages, fruit juices, wine and liquors with up to 20% alcohol concentration. It is often used for filling machines and dispensers.

When to use Metal Hose: There are many different types of hose available on the market. They include metal, rubber, composite, PTFE and fabric. The decision of which hose type to buy depends on the application for which the hose is being used. Generally, there are eight factors that should alert you to consider using metal hose: 1.

Temperature Extremes - If either the temperature of the media going through the hose or the surrounding atmospheric temperature is very cold or hot, metal may be the only material that can withstand the temperature extremes. Chemical Compatibility - Metal hose can handle a wider variety of chemicals than most of the other hose types. If the hose will be exposed to aggressive chemicals (either internally or externally), metal hose should be considered. Permeation Concerns - Non-metal hose is susceptible to having gases permeate through the hose wall and into the atmosphere. Metal hose, on the other hand, does not allow permeation. If containing the gases inside the hose is important, metal hose may be required. Potential for Catastrophic Failure - When a metal hose fails, it usually develops small holes or cracks. Other hose types tend to develop larger cracks or come apart completely. If a sudden failure of the hose can be catastrophic, a metal hose may help minimize the effects of a failure by leaking product at a slower rate. Abrasion and Over-bending Concerns - To prevent abrasion and over-bending, a metal hose can be used as a protective cover over wires or even other hoses. Fire Safety - Other hose types will melt when exposed to fire while metal hose maintains its integrity up to 1200º F. Achieving Full Vacuum - Under full vacuum, metal hose maintains its shape while other hose types may collapse. Flexibility in Fitting Configuration - Virtually any type of fitting can be attached to metal hose while other hose types require special shanks and collars.

Rubber Bellows Moulded Rubber Bellows Moulded Rubber Bellows are designed to compensate for misalignment, neutralise movement and reduce noise and vibration in pipelines. They effectively dampen the transmission of sound and vibration from plant items in building service installations, and can be used for many applications including water, oils, chemicals, gases and in the food industry depending upon the grade of the rubber (please see Material Colour Chart below). They are available in a number of different types of material to suit the media going through the bellows and generally come complete with carbon steel swivel backing flanges; please specify the style when ordering. These can be drilled to suit any table or special drillings and can be supplied either tied or untied.

Hose & duct bolt clamp

Bolt clamps are constructed from either low carbon mild steel finished with a rust resistant zinc plating or Stainless Steel. Each clamp has its range stamped in mm on the band, for ease of identification. Bolt clamps are a stronger alternative to worm drive clamps, and are able to withstand greater pressures, whilst being completely reusable. They can be used for the secure attachment of fittings to many types of hose, including PVC, Rubber and Silicone.

The Nito water coupling manufactured in chromium plated brass is technically a quick release coupling, though rarely listed as such and provides a very high quality option for a water quick release coupling. When reviewing the application or use of a hose the following guidelines for use should be observed:
