Around 50 local babas were kept busy on May 4 and 5 kneading, rolling, and stuffing more than 9,200 perogies for the upcoming Lamont Perogy Festival which will be held on Saturday, June 18.

On May 11 Vegreville Legion Branch #39 Chairman Terry Kuzyk presented Andrew School student, Hope Boster, with a certificate for her entry in the Remembrance Day Poster Contest held last November. Hope won 2nd Prize for her Intermediate Black & White poster. Along with a certificate, Hope received a cheque, wrist band, & pin.
