Executive Director

The Battle River Community Foundation was founded in 1995 to serve as a conduit to match community-minded donors with worthy causes and organizations that exist to support the local area.

The Foundation is recruiting for an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.

The Executive Director position core function is to manage the operations of the foundation in accordance to the guidelines established by the Board of Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

-Leadership and Management of the business operations of the foundation.

-Along with the Board of Directors lead the development execution of the Strategic Plan.

-Leading a small Administration team

-Leading Fund Development and Donor Stewardship

-Public Relations and Marketing

-Along with the Board of Directors ensure legal compliance with the Canada Revenue Agency, and Provincial legislation and regulation.

-Lead the development of the annual budget and provide timely and accurate financial reports to the Board of Directors.

-Along with the Board of Directors ensure that the Foundation respects and meets the requests of the Donors for the long-term sustainability of the Fund.

-Strong Public and Donor Relations.

The successful candidate should have a University degree or proven experience in non-profit leadership and financial management, excellent Interpersonal skills to maintain donor, community partners, Board of Directors, and team member relations.

The Executive Director Position is a full-time position reporting to the Board of Directors.

Location: Camrose, Alberta

Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 per year

Al and Ruth Jamison are excited that their grandson Rain is competing in track and field at the North American Indigenous Games in Halifax.

Irma 4-H Beef will be hosting a Beef on a Bun fundraiser at the New Horizons following the Irma parade.

Kate Green spent the last week visiting family and friends at Irma.

Smoky conditions led to the cancellation of ball games on Saturday.

The New Horizons centre is open on Tuesdays and Fridays for card games and pool.

Primary duties include sales and service of seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products as well as managing custom application. This individual would also be responsible for leading a small team of employees and managing plant operations.

A new event called “Ribs at the Races” got the thumbs up as people streamed into the Multiplex to sample some delicious recipes.

The First Annual Pork Rib Cook Off featured 14 entries of different rib recipes for patrons to chow down on and then judge for themselves which was the best.

The event was held on Saturday, July 15, in conjunction with the annual Chariot and Chuckwagon races on the Stampede Grounds.

By buying a plate for $10, people could try out all 14 finger licking flavours of ribs for themselves, then vote on their favourite.

Word of mouth went very quickly about the delicious food served at this first annual event. So much so that it is sure to be back by popular demand next year.

BEAVER COUNTY SEED CLEANING CO-OP Closed

The 24th Annual Kinsella Graveldome Bullarama bucked out of the chutes on the evening of Wednesday, July 12. The event started off with a delay as the required ambulance team were called out for an emergency, but once they rolled back onto the grounds, riders and bulls were raring to go.

The event is put on by the Kinsella Rec and Ag Society, and each year they make sure it is bigger and better and never disappoints.
