The cornerstone of our community

Our parent and alumni associations are essential to the success of our school, volunteering countless hours to support our students, teachers and families. We are very grateful and fortunate to have this support.

The Junior School Parents Association (JSPA) represents an inspiring collective of parents working together to uphold a strong and vibrant community. The JSPA has supported a range of important projects for our students along with other charitable causes.

‘The impact of recent events has challenged our community in different ways and, as an association, we take pride in our ability to assist our families when they need us most,’ explained 2021 JSPA President, Chrissy Margaritis.

‘Despite limited opportunities for fundraising this year, the JSPA has donated almost $10,000 to the Carey Student Fee Support Fund, Carey Care Committee, Indigenous Literacy Foundation, World Vision Child Sponsorship and for an outdoor table tennis table for our students.’

‘When we were asked by the JSPA what project we would most like, the decision was easy as a second table tennis table was at the top of our list,’ said Grace Thompson, School Captain and SRC Leader. ‘Two tables allow multiple year levels to play, more students to be included and fun competitions between teams.’ ‘The impact of recent events has challenged our community in different ways and, as an association, we take pride in our ability to assist our families when they need us most.’ Chrissy Margaritis, 2021 JSPA President
