Supporting Carey students through the pandemic

Our heartfelt thanks to the many families who generously donated to the Carey Student Fee Support Fund throughout the year to assist families facing financial hardship due to the pandemic. As a result of your generosity, we were able to provide immediate fee assistance to enable several students to continue their education throughout 2020 and avoid the stress of changing schools at a very challenging time.

The response from our community was extraordinary, with the Fund attracting over half of all gifts received this year. Every cent of the Fund was allocated this year, providing immediate relief to families who applied for support.

This Fund complements a range of other initiatives provided by the School to support our students and families during the pandemic. These included a fee rebate in the third and fourth terms of 2020, no increase on school fees for 2021 and the introduction of the Carey Family Business Directory.
