BFP, NGO conduct annual int’l training to Caraga firefighters By Doreen Marielle N. Rosales
SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte - In line with their mission to improve the disaster response in the region, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Caraga conducted a five-day international training camp beginning on January 20 at the Cabadbaran City Hall in Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte. The said training is in partnership with the Firefighters for Christ (FFC) International, a non-profit organization that promotes better fire service by nurturing the personnel’s spiritual growth.
The 170 participants from the different provinces and disaster response agencies in the region were trained in forest firefighting, vehicle extrication, and swift water rescue by the thirteen FFC personnel with international-level training and experience.
