Butuanons donate blood to ensure enough supply in hospitals By Jennifer P. Gaitano
BUTUAN CITY - More than 300 Butuanons have donated their blood during a bloodletting activity held inside a mall here, in time with the Valentine’s Day celebration on Friday with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Agusan del Norte-Butuan City Chapter. Said activity was aimed to ensure that there is enough blood supply for those who would need it in any hospital in the city, including the office of Philippine Red Cross local chapter. among of those who came early at the venue and participated in the bloodletting activity. They claimed that apart from their intention to help other individuals, donating blood also gives several health advantages to them, as it helps in improving cardiovascular health and reducing the risk of cancer, among others.
