News Briefs President Duterte is set to honor 10 governors, including Agusan del Norte governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. AmanteMatba for stemming the illegal drug trade in the province. Sharing the top post with her are governors Imee Marcos (Ilocos Norte), Faustino Dy III (Isabela), Junie Cua (Quirino), Jose Alvarez (Palawan), Eduardo Firmalo (Romblon), Alfredo Marañon (Negros Occidental), Edgardo Chatto (Bohol), Hilario Davide III (Cebu) and Daisy Avance-Fuentes (South Cotabato).
The Caraga Regional Development Council is conducting this afternoon its Reorganizational Meeting held in Butuan City. Accordingly, the election is done every three years since it coincides with the term of the local chief executives. Membership of the non-voting sectors will also be confirmed.
