What you should know B e f o r e t h e shoot

Leading up to your session, there are a few things to keep in mind. I recommend

giving yourself some self-care if you’re able. This includes a manicure and

pedicure, especially if you’re planning on wearing open toe shoes. At the very

least its a good idea to remove any chipped nail polish from your fingers and

toes.

Another thing I recommend, is lathering on the sunscreen, particularly in the

summer. If you plan to wear anything that might reveal some stripes, you may

want to consider taking the time to even it out.

As long as you’re taking care of your skin, groom up your facial hair as well. Its

nothing new to clean up your eyebrows, and it pays off in the final image.

Unless you’re going in for a trim, its a good idea to wait to make any drastic

changes to your hair. I find a lot of people hit a point every year where they

are tired of their current hair style, and are anxious to change it up. Change

is fantastic, I suggest avoiding any drastic changes that will leave your photos

looking dated. In addition to self-care, a good plan of action

is pulling out all of your outfit ideas, and put

them together how you envision them. Try

them all on, take pictures and even match

up some accessories for your outfits.

Take a little time to iron or steam (or dry

clean) your outfits so you’re fresh and ready

for your shoot. Hang anything up that might

wrinkle.

Right: Behind the scenes taken the day of Yasmeen’s shoot. When the day of your shoot arrives, my goal is to have everything set up for you so that you don’t have any stress. Locations will be determined, times in place, and your wardrobe ready to go.

Elite Packages start with Hair and Make-up, either at the salon, or at the studio, based on your schedule. Your appointment will be scheduled approximately an hour before your shoot time. Whether you’re looking for something more edgy, or if you want a clean and traditional style, my team of professionals are ready to make you look your best for your big shoot. I encourage you to arrive for your hair and make-up appointment in your first outfit. It’s also a good idea at this point to make sure you’re not wearing a hair tie or anything you don’t want in your photos.

You are welcome to bring friends and family to your shoot. Friends and family are always a good way to lighten the mood and ensure you have a good time.

I encourage you and your friends to take behind the scenes photos as well. Posting and sharing your session is going, where you’re at and who you’re with is a great way to share your experience but also a good way to remember your shoot. I only schedule one full session per day, so the entire day is dedicated to you. While my packages indicate a specific time and location allotment, I am always up for exploring and trying new things. It’s possible we may make several stops along the way to our locations if time and weather permit.

FINAL STEPS

There is quite a bit that happens after your session. I collect all of the images from your shoot and copy them to a safe location. I will cull down your gallery and remove all of the images that are not absolutely the best. This will save you a lot of time when you go through to pick out your images.

Once your images are sorted through, I will go through each image and apply some general edits. These edited images will be exported and uploaded to your personal online gallery. You will be provided a link to your gallery along with any pin code as needed. When visiting your gallery, you will have the ability

to favorite the ones you love. While looking through your gallery, please let me know if there are any images you would like me to make special edits to.

If you have made it through you gallery and managed to select 20-25 of your favorites, just let me know when you’re ready and I will provide you with a mobile app of your favorites.

Your gallery will also have a shopping cart which allows you to order archival, professional quality images to last a lifetime. Special products are also available at your request, including gallery canvas and personalized books.
