Erik Hexeberg and Sofie Hexeberg OUT OF THE BRAIN FOG
Take back your energy, concentration, memory and good mood
Do you find it difficult to maintain your concentration? Do you feel like your head is stuffed with cotton? Do you dread the next day at work, an exam or a social gathering because you are tired and feel like your memory is failing? In Out of the brain fog you get knowledge and advice on how you can get back to being yourself again!
More and more people seem to be affected by brain fog. It is not a medical diagnosis, but a phenomenon that can occur in a number of different conditions, for example food protein intolerance, high sugar intake and insulin resistance, and as a side effect of various diseases. Brain fog can feel like having cotton, wool or fog in your head. It makes you less attentive than normal, may cause problems maintaining concentration, remembering when things have happened and struggling to get work tasks done effectively. Fortunately, there is advice to be had!
Sofie and Erik Hexeberg are doctors and dietary specialists with extensive experience in using food as medicine. Many of their patients regain their energy, memory and concentration by avoiding foods they don’t tolerate. In the book, you gain knowledge about what brain fog is, and effective tools to get rid of it. The authors offer a range of practical advice, instructive patient stories and easy-to-use recipes. You can also follow your own recovery from week to week by filling in simple forms.
If you feel foggy, don’t despair: With this order of good, tested and proved tools you will get much better or recover completely!
Sofie and Erik Hexeberg are doctors, dietary experts and authors. They run Dr. Hexeberg's Clinic in Tønsberg and Bærum and are particularly concerned with how patients can improve their health through dietary changes.

A New Perspective On Cholesterol
More than 600,000 Norwegians use cholesterol-lowering drugs to prevent cardiovascular diseases. Does everyone benefit from using them? Could many people avoid the side effects by using food as medicine? And is there really a link between high cholesterol, constricted blood vessels and heart failure?
These questions and many more are answered in A New Perspective on Cholesterol, where doctors Erik and Sofie Hexeberg take a deep dive into the role of cholesterol for a healthy heart and give us a new understanding of the causes of cardiovascular disease — the second most common cause of death in Norway.

A New Perspective On Autoimmune Diseases
Generally, patients are presented with the perception of the autoimmune diseases as being 'auto' in the sense that the body starts to attack itself without any cause and that the disease is also 'auto' in the way that the disease continues and will not be controlled unless the patient is treated with anti-inflammatory drugs.
In this book the authors demonstrate the link between autoimmune diseases and food proteins by blood tests showing increased concentration of antibodies to specific food proteins and in parallel identifies parts of food proteins in urine samples. The authors propose a model where any food protein could elicit an immune response in a susceptible individual and thereby trigger an autoimmune disease.
The dietary advice this book offers is based on this approach, and the book contains stories from people with different autoimmune diseases.
