My interest in depicting the human figure has become more directed into themes, that range from pregnant women, of different ages and backgrounds, to the more physical sport of archery, but landscape has begun to emerge as an element of my examination of colour. The Cornish landscape inspires Michelle’s exploration into the alchemy of light, colour and form. The paint is applied in a free and energetic way that demands attention from the viewer. Directions: From the A39 Penryn bypass at the Asda roundabout take the road signposted Mabe. At the mini roundabout turn left into Church Road, after ¼ mile take a right signposted Mabe Church, Chynoweth Farm is the first turning on the left.

Stoneware ceramic pots inspired by the Cornish land and seascape are made from clay coloured with oxides and locally dug clay. Bases are thrown with coils added then pinched, scraped and burnished to give a tactile surface. Prices from £38–£500 Directions: Straight up the hill from the Penryn bypass (Adsa roundabout) through Mabe towards Longdowns, Trenoweth Chapel is on the left close to the brow of the hill.
