Claude passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. He was 80 and a longtime resident of Gonzales. Claude was born in Church Point on August 22, 1934 to Nolton and Ezor Cormier Babineaux. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Donachricha Babineaux; sons, Anthony Keith Babineaux (Carol Chidester), Brian Joseph Babineaux (Kellie McAlum), and Dwayne Paul Babineaux (Jossette Savoie); sister, Lea Ann Lejeune (Raymond); brothers, Forrest Babineaux (Juanita), Nolan Babineaux (Gwen); and Charles Babineaux (Karen). Lewis E. "Ed" Miremont of the former architectural/engineering firm of DesmondMiremont, died Tuesday at his home in Baton Rouge surrounded by his family. He was 91. He was born in Little Rock, Ark., and was a native of Plaquemine. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him, among them Linda, his wife and best friend of 35 years. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Dupuy and his five children (and spouses): Thomas (Patti), Timothy, John (Kristina), Daniel and Denise (Kevin) all of Baton Rouge.
