From Hogwarts to Hendrix, psychology rules For drama enthusiast, the world’s a stage
Kayla Simone Goudeau
• Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Goudeau • Attends St. Mary’s Dominican High School Music and drama are a big part of life for Miss Kayla Simone Goudeau, who excels in both areas at school. “My favorite book is ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ by Charles Dickens, because it is an excellent mash-up of history, drama and romance,” she notes. Kayla is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Goudeau. Her mother is the former Fern Simone Walker. At St. Mary’s Dominican, Kayla is a member of the National Honor Society and the Mu Alpha Theta math society, an officer in the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and a member of the drama club and the Dominican Choir. She is an Alpha and Beta Honor Roll student and was selected for the Louisiana Music Educators Association’s Senior High Honor Choir. Kayla will be presented at the 2016 Carnival ball of the Young Men Illinois Club.
Corinne Adele Guillot
• Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jacques Louis Guillot • Attends Hendrix College in Conway,Arkansas • Graduated from Mandeville High School The magical world of Harry Potter has made a lasting impression on Miss Corinne Adele Guillot, one that has offered her a look at problem solving and balance. “The stories themselves are an intricate balance between magical fantasy and situational reality,” she notes. “The characters are real and relatable, and it is so hard not to fall in love with every single one.” That love of people and finding solutions has led Coco, as she is known, to pursue a career in psychology. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jacques Louis Guillot, of Mandeville. Her mother is the former Jacquleline Laure Provosty. Attending Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Coco is a housing representative on the Environmental Concerns Committee, part of the Social Psychology Research Interest Group Lab and a member of the college choir. She was the audience choice winner at the TEDx Student Speaker Competition. At Mandeville High School, Coco was active in the Drama Club as an art director, costume mistress, actress and dancer; a secretary in the Student Senate, a member of Political Thinkers, co-president of the Ethnic Food and Cultures Club and a member of the National Honor Society. She has served as a camp counselor at Camp Juliette Low in Cloudland, Georgia. Coco will be honored at a party in January with other debutantes of the season.

McGehee School Helping educate students with special needs is the career goal of Miss Aby Dixon Hamrick, and her drive will help her reach that goal. Self-described as ambitious, positive, empathetic, dedicated and enthusiastic, Aby is utilizing her talents to further her studies in the field of education. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thomas Hamrick Jr. Her mother is the former Aby Callicott. Aby is an Ole Miss student in Oxford, Mississippi, where she is a member of Delta Delta Delta and plans to attend graduate school for a master’s degree. At the McGehee School, Aby was a member and captain of the varsity volleyball team, was the May Day captain her sophomore year, was a Peer Support Leader for two years and served on the school’s yearbook staff for two years. She has served as a lifeguard at the New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club and was a counselor at SummerGate at McGehee. As a sub-deb, Aby was a lady in waiting in Dorians and a princess in the Grand Ball of Osiris.

Isabella Slatten Healy
• Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hyde Dunbar Healy • Attending the University of Southern California • Graduated from St. Scholastica Academy
Los Angeles seems the logical place for Miss Isabella Slatten Healy to further her education, as she intends to make the film industry her career. With a penchant for the works of Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick, Isabella hopes to combine her love of motion pictures with her experience in the entertainment industry to make a movie of her own. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hyde Dunbar Healy, of Covington. Her mother is the former Elizabeth Alma Slatten. As a critical studies student at the University of Southern California, Isabella has been on the dean’s list of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and was recently admitted to the School of Cinematic Arts. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, serving as pledge president, new member educator and on the chapter council and standards committee. She was a member of the Alpha Lambda National Honor Society for first-year students. At St. Scholastica, Isabella served three years as class president and was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society and Excalibur Science Honor Society. She was also on the Student Ministry and Student Guide teams. She played on the school’s volleyball, tennis and indoor track teams, taking district and regional honors in volleyball and tennis. She graduated with high honors as an Advanced Placement Scholar and received the Spanish IV Honors award, the Marguerite S. Celestin Endowed Scholarship and the Gold Medal for Academic Achievement in Athletics. She was also homecoming queen at Saint Paul’s School. This summer, Isabella will intern on several film projects in Louisiana. She has worked as a mulitmedia journalist for Annenberg Television News at USC and interned with You Night Empowering Events as an assistant to the producer of the You Night Cancer Survivor Runway Show and documentary, “Doctors Connection: The Medical Community Unites.” As a sub-deb, Isabella was a maid in Les Pierrettes and Apollo, and a princess in Athenians.
Angel Maria Hite
• Niece of Mr. and Mrs. John Williams of LaPlace • Attending St. Charles Catholic High School
Taking a page from a wise tome, Miss Angel Maria Hite intends to live life to the fullest and has gotten a good start. “My favorite book is ‘Tuesdays with Morrie,’” she notes. “It explains to the reader why life should be lived to the fullest with no regrets during any type of struggle.” Angel is the niece of Mr. and Mrs. John Williams, the former Melene Gastinell. At St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace, Angel is a member of the Beta Club and a student ambassador who will be on the school’s student council and yearbook organization in the fall. She is on the Alpha Honor Roll and is a member of the 2+ Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She’s also received awards for service hours and an academic scholarship. Her career plans include a future in pharmacy. Angel will be presented at the 2016 Carnival ball of the Young Men Illinois Club.
