A love of world travel will take Miss Gladys Grace Gille to Rome this summer, where she will study business and expand her global experiences. In Italy, Grace, as she is known, will immerse herself in culture and travel to other parts of Europe, as well. A seasoned traveler, she has journeyed throughout North and Central America, as well as Europe and the Caribbean. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Jennings Gille. Her mother is the former Gladys Reiss Van Horn. This Crimson Tide fan studies at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where she is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In the fall, through the Al’s Pals program, Grace will mentor an elementary school student through the university, assisting with homework, math, reading and after-school activities. While attending the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Grace was on the varsity soccer and cross country teams, was a member of the yearbook staff and was an active participant in community outreach programs, including Green Light New Orleans and Relay for Life. She graduated with honors. Grace also participated in two summer mission trips to Chinandega, Nicaragua. As a sub-deb, Grace was a maid in the courts of Les Pierrettes and Apollo. Grace will share her debutante experience with her twin sister, Lucy, also a member of the 2015 coterie.

A career in advertising is the goal for Miss Lucile Rose Gille, a journalism and mass communications student at the University of Georgia who has traveled to Cannes, France, this summer to continue her studies. Lucy, as she is known, will return to the Athens, Georgia, campus in the fall. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Jennings Gille. Her mother is the former Gladys Reiss Van Horn. Lucy has traveled throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. At UGA, she is a member of Phi Mu and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She was accepted for early admission into Grady College of Journalism at the university. At the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Lucy was a class president, member of the varsity soccer team, a peer support leader and a member of the Art, Spanish and Autism Awareness clubs. She participated in Green Light New Orleans and other community outreach programs. Lucy graduated from Sacred Heart with high honors and participated in two Amigos for Christ mission trips to Chinandega, Nicaragua. As a sub-deb, Lucy was a maid in the court of Les Pierrettes and Apollo. Lucy will share her debutante experience with her twin sister, Grace, also a member of the 2015 coterie.

‘Atlas’ maps the way to global world view Adelaide Dabezies Goodyear

• Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waterhouse Goodyear IV • Attending Yale College • Graduated from Westminster School, London Global experiences and a global point of view are key aspects of Miss Adelaide Dabezies Goodyear’s personality. Her international flair even extends to her favorite reading — Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged.â€? “The characters and concepts that shape the book very much resonate with my own opinions and beliefs regarding personal liberties,â€? she notes. Adelaide is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waterhouse Goodyear IV, the former Elizabeth Morris Dabezies, of New Orleans. A student at Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut, Adelaide serves as a tour guide for the Yale University Art Gallery, social chair for the Yale European Undergraduates, part of the cultural council of the International Students Organization and as a reporter for the school’s “Rumpusâ€? magazine. At the Westminster School in London, Adelaide was a lance corporal in the Combined Cadet Force, an art history teacher for underclassmen and inner city immigrant students, founder of the school’s Charity Think Tank, a representative for Purcells in the House Council, a class representative on the Student Council and a Chinese exchange host. She was awarded prizes in form, geography, science and Asian languages at Marlborough College. She has worked for companies in London, Shanghai and Connecticut and served as a counselor with Mes Amies Day Camp in New Orleans. As a sub-deb, she was in the court of Les Pierrettes. Adelaide will be fĂŞted at a party during the holiday season.
