❚ Saddle bags full of roses to the biker and his buddy at the Esso in Guildford on April 23 who made me smile by telling me to park my car and get on his bike and go for ride with them. And a cab full of roses to the guy in the blue truck who teased them to leave me alone – I assume you all knew each other. Just know that for a moment, I nearly threw caution to the wind and went with you. Maybe another time. ❚ Bouquets of red roses and thanks to all the volunteers who donate their time to help others. Without your kindness, some things would not happen. ❚ A store full of tomatoes to the Walmart on 88th Avenue. I stood in your electronics department for almost an hour, looking to buy a TV, while your staff stood around talking to one another. Thank you, Walmart for sending your customers to other stores to make their purchases. ❚ Doggy-doo bags full of rotten tomatoes to the dog owner who is considerate enough to pick up their doggy doo but inconsiderate enough to hide it in

❚ A large bouquet of pink roses to each of the two ladies who helped my husband when he fell on Buena Vista Avenue in White Rock. In the confusion, I didn’t get your names but my grateful thanks for all your help.

❚ A warehouse of rotten tomatoes to the scumbags who stole two large pots of tulips from outside the Surrey Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop in Delta. You made a lot of outstanding citizens who volunteer very sad (and angry). Please return the tulips – no questions asked. ❚ Rotten tomatoes to Metro Vancouver for even considering business partnerships in regional parks. A park should be a quiet place where people can go and have a picnic, walk the dog, and listen to the birds.
