Big selection with small town service Spring and summer is a busy time of the year for Fletcher Building Supplies in Ladner. The Bridge Street business, which is part of the IRLY Building Centres group, offers a range of products that will have you covered for all sorts of home improvement projects. “Everything to build your house, maintain your house, you name it. Anything from hanging a picture to dishwashers,” says Fletcher’s
Peter Confortin. That includes a garden centre, hardware supplies, power tools and paint. The business became an authorized Sears appliance agent in 2009 and in the beginning of 2010 also became a Sears hometown store. “That means anything you can get from Sears, you can get from us here,” says Fletcher’s Faizal
Alimohamed. “We have a new TV wall with home theatre systems to match. We have a full line of lawn mowers, vacuums and patio furniture. We also stock Craftsman tools as well.” Confortin notes the store, which was remerchandized about a year ago, is constantly changing its inventory. “Basically anything the

big guys have, we have.” He notes Fletcher will be joining the TIM-BR Mart family soon, which will mean the Air Miles incentive program is coming as well. Alimohamed says the staff, which ranges from 10 to 15, are locals and extremely knowledgeable. He counts customer service and personal attention as a strong suit for the business. “Our slogan here is we’re big enough to serve you and small enough to know you.”
