The Sojourners Will Sanders and chanteuse Alita Dupray got into the Motown groove in support of direct service AIDS agencies.

Motown groove: An all-star cast of B.C. legends and rising stars—from Jim Byrnes, Dee Daniels and Chilliwack’s Bill Henderson to Dustin Bentall, Jaydee Bixby and Ali Milner—performed songs for the Shooting Stars Foundation’s Motown Meltdown concert sponsored by the Courier. More than 30 artists donated their time and talent belting out hit after Motown hit in support of direct service AIDS agencies. Recently, a total of $115,000 from six foundation events was distributed to 13 local organizations. Total BUST: Meteorologist Kristi Gordon and eight girlfriends, better known as the BUST FUNdation, fronted the inaugural Bust Art Social, hosted by Global B.C. personalities Chris Gailus and Sophie Lui. Four hundred revellers gathered at District 319 for the art auction, social and dance, which raised $30,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Flash dance: Scotiabank Dance Centre was transformed into the Starlight Night Club for its signature soiree. Dance enthusiasts filed into the Farris studio for the Dancing Through Time dinner and dance in support of the Davie Street facility. Feature performers Cori Caufield, Myles Munroe, Corey Solomon and Samia Massoud burned up the floor.
