Passport to the Arts

Offered by: Krista Johns Ages: 6-10 Cost: $160 Come explore art from around the world in this hands-on, creative camp! Campers will have fun learning about other countries and cultures as they create two- and three-dimensional artworks using a variety of materials. Pottery skills will also be included. Offered: Week 2 AM

Photography Basics

Offered by: Mark Kmidowski Ages: 11-15 Cost: $190 Campers will learn the fundamentals for taking better photographs. Campers will learn compositional rules such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, horizontal lines, and symmetry. Each class day will focus on a different style of photography- still life, action, nature, portrait, and closeup. Campers must bring their own digital camera (at least a point and shoot). On Friday a gallery crawl will be held, showcasing the campers best work and their artist statements. Offered: Week 5 PM

Photography Scavenger Hunt

Offered by: Michelle Ferguson Ages: 11-13 Cost: $190 Do you constantly pull out your camera to take pictures? Do you enjoy scavenger hunts? Let’s spend the week exploring our surroundings and taking pictures that capture exactly what you’re looking for. We will go on a daily scavenger hunt around campus taking pictures of nature, architecture, people, shapes and more. We will use learned techniques and editing skills to add a bit of creativity to your images. You will need a smartphone (Android or Apple) or iPad, as well as the free app SlideLab. Princess Tea Party

Offered by: Lavender Cottage Productions Ages: 4-8 (Girls only) Cost: $190 This popular camp for young ladies is full of surprises. Bringing dreams to life, a different princess visits each day, including Cinderella, Elsa, and Tiana. Campers learn proper tea-party etiquette through a curriculum of social skills. Families are invited to attend a tea party demonstration Friday at 11:00 a.m. Offered: Week 5 AM

Rock and Roll Club

Offered by: Little Scholars Ages: 3-5 Cost: $190 We are looking for the next rock and roll star this summer! We will jam out with handmade instruments, learn hip songs and dance the camp away. Your rocking scholars will build their social skills, gross motor, and fine motor skills. We will show off our moves at a final performance on Friday. Offered: Week 4 AM

Stories in Motion

Offered by: Little Scholars Ages: 3-5 Cost: $190 Are you a bookworm? Do you love to act? Need to get your wiggles out? This camp is just for you! Learn, move, and have fun with your favorite storybook characters. We will integrate movement, drama, literacy, and yoga into this exciting camp where campers act out the stories and scenes from their favorite books! Offered: Week 5 AM

Up-Cycled Art

Offered by: Little Scholars Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 Up Cycle ‘trash’ and recyclable materials into creative creations such as murals, decorative containers, and wearable art. Let your creativity run wild, dream big, and help the environment along the way as you stretch your artsy side. Offered: Week 1 PM

Cooking for Beginners

Offered by: Chef Craig Rosekrans Ages: 9-11 Cost: $225 This is a hands-on cooking camp for beginners. The kids will prepare basic family favorite meals from scratch such as: pasta & sauce, omelets, fajitas, and more. At the end of each day, students will sample their meals. Students will learn some basic cooking techniques and knife skills. Offered: Week 1 PM

Little Chefs Dessert Academy

Offered by: SmArt Educational Art Ages: 6-8 (Week 1 & Week 7)

Cost: $190 8-10 (Week 4) Cost: $190 Those with the smallest of taste buds will learn to prepare excellent desserts without so much as lifting a knife! Campers will make marvelous treats and have lots of chocolate-covered fun in a safe environment. A goody bag will be sent home on Friday. Offered: Week 1 PM Week 4 PM Week 7 PM

The Candy Shop

Offered by: SmArt Educational Art Ages: 8-10 (Week 1 & Week 4)

Cost: $190 10-12 (Week 2 & Week 7) Cost: $190 Satisfy your sweet tooth while learning the art of candy making. Learn how to make your own gummies, Jolly Rancher® pops, edible necklaces and more! Campers will learn how to melt and pour chocolate into a variety of molds. Marshmallow minions and chocolate-covered pretzels make a sweet gift for family and friends. ART-chitects: Engineering and Art

Offered by: Little Scholars Ages: 9-12 Cost: $190 In this camp, campers will learn the basics of architecture including drawing, designing, and creating structures and buildings. Design the home of your dreams, discover the inspiration of famous buildings and bridges, or plan a new roller coaster for your favorite theme park. Unleash your inner ARTchitect this summer. Offered: Week 5 PM

Builders

Offered by: Little Scholars Ages: 6-10 Cost: $152 Calling all inventors, builders, and designers: come build some awesome creations with us! Campers will create their own designs and make structures using building blocks, recyclable materials, and many other interesting items. Skills gained: communication, problem solving, reasoning, developing creativity and teamwork. Offered: Week 2 PM

Explore + Make + Share (Makerspace)

Offered by: No Ordinary Summer Camp Ages: 6-9 Cost: $152 Campers will work collaboratively on STEM/STEAM activities. Students will use hands on manipulatives to create and build structures by utilizing science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The focus will be on using a mindset of creating something out of nothing, while exploring personal interests. Offered: Week 2 PM

Q. What if I want to change a session after registering?

A. Changes and transfers of registration are free of charge before May 10. On or after May 10, there is a $25 per transaction charge on all transfers that are not a result of a camp cancellation.

Flight School

Offered by: Jeremy Mattsson Ages: 9-11 Cost: $200 Learn the ins-and-outs and ups-and-downs of flight. From birds to bombers, campers explore physical properties of how things stay in the air. Hands-on projects give campers the challenge of making their own flying machines and experiencing the intricacies of flight. A field trip to a local aviation museum will provide contact with pilots and aircraft. Offered: Week 4 AM

Intro to Robotics

Offered by: No Ordinary Summer Camp Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 This camp teaches the true meaning of robotics and the basics of the robot world. Campers learn about artificial intelligence and how robots are being used in industries today. They will gain an understanding of robot mechanics, the different parts of a robot, and then design their own concept. A different robot will be built each day and Friday’s robot is theirs to keep! Offered: Week 3 PM

Laser Cutting

Offered by: Ellen Loflin Ages: 11-13 (Week 2) (4-day)

Cost: $288 14-16 (Week 3) Cost: $360 Combining the power of light and the power of the computer, campers will learn how to design, cut, and engrave wood. This class will introduce campers to a 50watt laser cutter/engraver which they will use in combination with Adobe® Illustrator to create laser designs using text, images & cut lines. Each camper will come up with their own unique project with the help of the instructor and all creations go home. Project ideas can include storage solutions, board game design or a 3D creature!
