LEGO®: Pirate Quest

Offered by: Bricks 4 Kidz Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 Sailing the seven seas and building tall-towered castles is what this camp is all about. Your young pirates will learn about the engineering of pirate ships, including helms, swinging anchors and much more. Campers will build motorized and Brick LEGO® models, play games, and make crafts. Chomping alligators and working catapults are all part of the fun, so lower the gate and raise the anchor, as we get ready for a week of adventure. Offered: Week 3 PM

LEGO®: Space Adventure

Offered by: Bricks 4 Kidz Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 Let your imagination launch into outer-space and beyond! In this camp, kids will learn about real-life space exploration and build a new model related to the NASA space program. Are you a budding astronaut? An adventurer that loves space exploration? Then you’ll love our space-themed LEGO® camp! Offered: Week 5 PM

LEGO®: Sports Mania

Offered by: Bricks 4 Kidz Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 Play Ball! Our all-star Master Builder campers will use LEGO® Bricks to create motorized athletes such as soccer players that shoot, hockey skaters that skate, gymnasts that tumble, and much more! Campers will also create their favorite sports team’s logos and players, all out of LEGO® Bricks. Whether it is college football, the Olympics, cheerleading, or professional hockey, campers will love this camp! Offered: Week 5 AM

Q. What is the age range for the camp sessions?

A. Each camp session lists the specific age or grade range accepted for enrollment. Exceptions must be approved. NOTE: Only those camps for which your child is the correct age/grade appear during on-line registration.

LEGO®: Superhero Academy

Offered by: Bricks 4 Kidz Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 Campers will build a family of incredible heroes, hero guardians in space, and of course their favorite classic heroes! They will discover and create a super fantasy world and protect it with custom contraptions made with LEGO® Bricks and our battery operated, motorized builds. Campers will also enjoy playing games and making crafts. Offered: Week 4 PM

LEGO®: Under the Sea Adventure

Offered by: Bricks 4 Kidz Ages: 3-5 Cost: $190 Have your camper dive into fun with our Under the Sea Adventures LEGO® camp! Kids will learn fun facts about animals and creatures that live in the water, build supporting models with Duplo bricks, create fun crafts, and sing songs while reinforcing principles such as colors and numbers, and practicing gross motor and social development skills. Offered: Week 1 AM

Maker Mania 2021

Offered by: Leigh Northrup Ages: 12-15 Cost: $200 Come experience a week of MAKING in the Cannon School Think Tank. Campers will learn the basics of coding microcontrollers, drone racing, making rockets, 3D printing, woodworking and much more! All students will have the opportunity to spark their imagination and curiosity with week-long projects. Cost includes materials fee. Offered: Week 6 AM

Q. What about snacks?

A. Counselors and coaches have a break during each camp for snacks and drinks. Snacks and drinks may be sent with your child or purchased for 50 cents per item.

Backyard Games

Offered by: Little Scholars Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 Get outside and PLAY! Kickball, Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, SPUD and many more thrilling outside adventures will be enjoyed in this camp. Come out and have some good ol’ fun using teamwork, gross motor skills and critical thinking. Offered: Week 5 PM

Chess

Offered by: Dominique Myers Ages: 6-11 Cost: $190 Campers learn from a curriculum targeted to their skill level (beginner, experienced, advanced) taught by U.S. Chess Federation rated/certified chess coaches. This program has launched players who compete at the local, state, and national levels. Enjoy the art and science of chess! Analytical thinking skills and problem-solving techniques are emphasized within the framework of chess. Offered: Week 2 AM Week 4 AM Week 5 PM Week 6 AM Week 7 PM

Introduction to Dungeons & Dragons®

Offered by: Buzz City Games Ages: 9-15 Cost: $190 Adventurers will embark on a journey where they will encounter enemies, allies, monsters, treasure and magic in the world's greatest role-playing game: Dungeons and Dragons®. Campers will sharpen their skills in teamwork, problem solving, creative thinking, storytelling, and math. Offered: Week 7 AM

Magic the Gathering Camp

Offered by: Buzz City Games Ages: 9-15 Cost: $190 Campers will learn a great deal about the popular trading card game: Magic: The Gathering, including rules, background, basic skills, deck building, and basic through advanced strategy. Campers will develop and sharpen their skills in social interactions, deduction, math, focus, critical thinking, and resource management. All players will receive a Welcome Deck as well as cards, supplies and accessories. All experience levels are welcome. Offered: Week 7 PM

Pokémon Players & Traders

Offered by: Rich Pente Ages: 6-10 Cost: $190 Campers will engage in collecting, trading, playing, and watching all things related to Pokémon, as well as explore Pokémon Go around campus. Win some great Pokémon prizes throughout the week! Core concepts include discovery and inclusion. Campers are encouraged to bring their own Pokémon cards. Offered: Week 5 AM

Retro Video Games

Offered by: Mark Ferguson Ages: 9-15 Cost: $190 Beat the heat and come learn about the history of classic retro video games, characters & consoles. Each day campers will discuss and learn the history of different classic video games from the 1970’s & 1980’ s. There will be ample time to play these vintage games, while competing with their friends for high score! Offered: Week 1 PM

Q. What if a camper has a Dr.’s appointment or needs to leave early?

A. We ask that you email the Camp Cannon office and let us know the date & time that you will be picking up. This way we can have the camper ready upon your arrival.

Strategy Board Games

Offered by: Buzz City Games Ages: 9-15 Cost: $190 Campers will be exposed to many genres of board games as they explore some of the modern classics from the "Golden Age" of Board Gaming: Catan®, Ticket to Ride®, Pandemic®, 7 Wonders® and more! Campers will sharpen their skills in resource management, decision making, teamwork and team building, logic, strategy, patience, critical and creative thinking, problem solving, mathematics, negotiating and communication. Each camper will receive a game to take home and teach to their family. Offered: Week 6 PM
