In 2012 the Year 12 Committee played a pivotal role in providing both our year group and the wider school community with the most memorable and unforgettable experience of the Year 12 run of events.
A big thanks to the Committee members whose dedication and effort were invaluable to the success of the events in 2012. Without these boys and the contribution each had to the enjoyment of the events the year would not have run efficiently or as fruitfully.
The Annual Drama Disaster – ADD, in Term 2 was as always a much anticipated event and 2012 did not disappoint. It will be remembered for years to come. Highlights were the Complex Crew, Simplifying Fractions rap by Jack Johnson and Abi Prakash, the Mall Racing video directed by Carlyle Laurie and the Darcy Welsh’s angelic singing of Ed Sheeran’s A-team. Special thanks must be given to the MC’s Nick Schmidt and Peter Clynes for their unsurpassed humour and additionally to all the Year 12 students behind the scenes who made this event possible.
A special thanks to Mr Goddard for supporting and assisting us in holding these fantastic events in 2012. Mr Goddard spent countless hours managing and guiding the whole Year 12 cohort on the right track. He has been a constant source of wisdom and we have only achieved what we have because of him. Thanks must also be given to Mr Lendrum and Mr Smart for sacrificing much of their time and ensuring the successfulness of the events.
The Canberran 2012
Mock Assembly was one of the most successful events of 2012 with Thomas Atkin and Alistair Turbayne at the helm. Hugh McCarthy’s satirical impersonation of Dr Garrick, David Cribb’s Chaplin rap and the impersonation of Jamil Khalfan by Hugo Hodge were some of the highpoints of this event. The support of the year group was incredibly generous in a very demanding time of the HSC and was recognized in the success of Mock Assembly.

Overall I am glad to say that all the stress has been worth it. We have had a great time and I have enjoyed every minute working with the Year 12 committee and the Year Group as a whole.
