This foundation sire was the result of the mating of ten year old sire 8S and 150Z, one of the most productive females in the breed. 135D added a lot of AAA marbling females in our herd and a number of top sires.

Has been a corner stone sire for the breed. His sons and daughters continue to be high sellers in many herds and sales. 254E will continue to be a big part of the Hereford industry through his progeny.

A prominant 254E son from the same dam as 135D, 150Z. This combination has produced excellent females as expected and well muscled bulls. Owned with Bygrove’s, Lloydminster.

101J was the first calf from one of the most productive cows in our herd, 38G. He has been a very good source for calving ease, hair coat and style without losing performance.

We purchased 2N along with Pat and Penny Clark from Tim and Diane Westerlund, at the East Central Bull Sale in Oyen. This bull will feature some of the top yearling bulls in the sale. Sired the high seller in 2007.

32P is a curly yellow massive bull that will demand your attention the minute you see him. His mother was a feature heifer purchased at the Supremacy sale and has produced many sale bull calves.

152S was purchased with Crone Herefords at the Coulee Crest Production Sale where he was the high seller. This bull continues to produce good weaning weights with moderate birth weights. His sire 56M is a trait leader for calving ease. 152S has sons and daughters featured in this sale.

8T was used as a service sire on heifers for his length, calving ease and solid markings. His pedigree has light birth weight cattle throughout.

23T was purchased from Crone Herefords to replace his sire 129P. He has done that well and sires long, sound, well muscled bulls with good disposition. The females will be herd builders.

43T was purchased from XTC Herefords in the first Hereford Genes Event at Farmfair. I asked Byron to send up a herd bull calibre bull to this event and he did. 43T remained in production to 11 years old.

60T was also purchased for heifers from which his grandsire was used very successfully for many years. The maternal value in this blood line is excellent. The Superman bull has certainly become a landmark sire for his easy fleshing and performance. The opportunity to bring his 129D bloodline was an easy choice. This smooth young bull should calve easy and build replacement females. BW: 83 lbs

We sold a half interest to Corbiell Herefords and they won their division with a group of 24U sons at the World Hereford Conference. 24U progeny will feature in this sale.

44U was our feature and high selling bull at the Calgary Bull Sale where he was purchased by Mike Newmen. We bought ½ back the next year and are glad we did. 44U’s dam and sire are both maintenance free and promote big hair, perfect feet, and super udders.

This bull was purchased as a calf in the LCI production sale. 96U is a very correct and sound bull that raised a high seller in 2011. 96U calves are stylish and productive with good performance plus calving ease. Dam, a 157K daughter, and granddam, are also top producing cows for Doenz ranches.

Yearling Bulls We went through the winter dry and open and in the spring the rains came and the grass grew which the bulls have done well on. April and May calving has allowed us to graze our cow herd 11 months of the year and also graze our calves to December. With this continuous roughage diet the selection and culling becomes easier which makes these cattle more predictable and ultimately more productive for our customers. We steer 60% of our bull crop every year to allow us to offer the very best with confidence. Our continued search for maintenance free cattle that are feed efficient will always be a priority. We are taking part in the Canadian Hereford Association feed efficiency trail as we speak which is over a 3 year term. We also feel it is an advantage to buy in the fall of the year when bulls are in moderate condition so they can acclimatize themselves to your ranch. Buy with confidence, our usual guarantee applies.

SADDLE UP TEE - Buckskin JACKIE FLAIR - Dun SON QUINCY – Blue PRIVATE BLACK TRACKS – Black BLUE MISS BLACK TRACKS – Black

DIALS A BLUE DUDE - Blue

We retained a full brother to this foal that will start our sale geldings someday. Dam is a daughter of the mother of lot 2 who is an own Blueboy Quincy daughter. This colt will have the size and thickness to get the job done. Other foals from this mare have excellent reports.

We have kept a full blue roan sister as a replacement in our brood band that will foal next year and looks impressive. This filly may be black but will no doubt be a color producer with all the close roan genetics in her pedigree. This mare will be a consistent riding prospect and solid black is always in style.

NORTHERN TE BONANZA PATTY JJ BLUE SA MISS PATTY CAKE

Chance is a 7 yr old buckskin gelding with lots of try, good hustle, and a nice handle. He is light mouthed and will move off your legs when asked. Saddle up tee geldings have all worked well for their new owners. Last year’s high selling gelding was a saddle up tee that has gone on to be very versatile and is now heading steers. Chance likes to work cows and is easy to be around. This gelding has branded calves, doctored in the pasture, and sorted pairs. Chance should get along with an intermediate rider because he hustles too much for a beginner. 15hh

You can leave Rock for months and not worry about any changes. Rock was born black but has since turned blue and stays blue year round. This easy going quiet gelding is a maternal brother to the good bay gelding Lanni Bristow bought through this ring. Anyone should get along with Rock especially those who like riding a bigger horse. 15.3 hh

Skedadle is a fancy 5 yr old bay roan gelding that has had lots of miles and wants to please. He has done lots of ranch work sorting pairs one on one and handles well in the bush. Skedadle has the handle and try to take on any job on the ranch. Al would have liked to have kept this gelding one more year to enjoy him and start heading steers. This bay roan gelding has not had a lot of rope experience yet but should handle it in stride. Skedadle has unlimited potential and wants to learn and improve every day. This good horse should stay open ended and grow with his rider. 15.1 hh

Idol was purchased in the Longmuir Production Sale as a yearling stallion prospect in 2005. That year his mother had the high selling offspring in 4 different age groups. This foundation mare has produced the consistent structure and dispotition we were looking for. After working with Idol as a 2 year old he matches the consistency of Jackie Flair’s offspring. Idol’s colts are big hipped and even tempered.

Dude is an own son of Bet Blue Rock out of Dial Dude Bar, a coal black mare we rate very high. Her mother raised 3 stallions, all have done well. Andy Dechaine purchased this stallion in our sale as a stallion prospect and we were fortunate to be able to get him back. When we stared Dude he was as easy to train as his sire. Dude feels nice under saddle and we are proud of his colts.

A home raised stallion from a Dick Pahl bred mare and a Russ Arthur stallion. When we first tied this guy up as a baby he never pulled back and we wondered if he would lead. He was obliging from day one and we thought he might be stallion material. The first time we saddled him it never bothered him so we rode off. He never looked back. Due to this disposition we used him extensively and are glad we did. His colts are a pleasure to train and are fancy to boot!
