Velma Margrete Hockridge 1929 ~ 2019 Velma Hockridge (Aspenes) of Red Deer County, AB, passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on May 2, 2019, at the age of 90 years. Velma was born and raised in the Camrose area. She attended both Camrose Lutheran College and Vermilion School of Agriculture. She was married to Arvid Sjerdal, her loving husband of 33 years (deceased); and to her second loving husband, LaVern Hockridge, for 16 years (deceased). She is lovingly remembered by her son Phillip Sjerdal (April Reeves) of Red Deer County, AB; son Marvin Sjerdal (Elizabeth) of Richmond, BC; daughter Ann Sjerdal of Red Deer County, AB; and only granddaughter Molly Sjerdal of Vancouver, BC. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Wilfred and wife Lois Aspenes of Camrose; as well as numerous relatives from the Aspenes, Sjerdal and Hockridge families. Velma is to be interred at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Jacque (Roth) Langton Jacque (Roth) Langton of Grande Prairie passed away on May 6, 2019, at the age of 53 years after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Camrose and attended high school in Outlook, SK. She worked in Camrose, Edmonton, Grande Cache and Grande Prairie. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and Dean. She is survived by her husband Dean; two daughters Jacinda (Eric) and Joelle (Sean); four grandchildren; her parents Dwayne and Greta Roth; and her siblings Steve (Melanie), Doug (Doris), Lynn (Gene) and Ken; and her nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grande Prairie on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Jacque was a joy to be around and her laughter was contagious. We loved her and will always hold her memory in our thoughts and prayers.
