One of the stops on the Sunday excursion of Prairie Fun Days was the Rosebush Lodge: B & B, Tea and Gift House, Campground and Foot Golf. Guests walked around the grounds taking in a variety of antique machines and gadgets. Doug Dennis a neighboring farmer of Rosebush Lodge was on hand Sunday, Aug. 28 to demonstrate the antique engines, including this mid 1930s elevator engine. Guests aboard the Prairie Cruise Line excursion taking part in Prairie Fun Days fought the wind while stretching their legs at the Ferry Point Landing campground after hearing the history of the landing told by Don Wudel a local rancher. Pictured left to right, Sandra McLay, volunteer at the Camrose and District Centennial Museum joins first time tour participants Trish Ryan from Camrose and Jenn Filip from Camrose to read about a part of Alberta’s history. Kim Fischbach gets a lesson on rope tieing by Don Wudel. Don also entertained the guests on the bus with some historical facts and cowboy poetry.
