Canadian Tire managers driven by customer service The warm memories of what it’s like to live in a smaller town came flooding back to Jeff Bonnor as he and his wife were given a driving tour of Camrose by Canadian Tire dealer Dave Jewell. Jeff was then the store manager at the Canadian Tire in Windermere and they were considering a move to Camrose to fill the position of general manager left by Todd Cochrane’s move to Ontario. Taking the drive around town with Dave convinced the young couple, who have a newborn son, that Camrose is the right place for them. Camrose’s wealth of sports and culture facilities and programs made it clear that this is a great place to raise a family, become involved in the community and build a life together. Jeff’s management style also reflects the sense of community he so much appreciated growing up in a small town in Saskatchewan. He worked his way through the ranks of several Canadian Tire stores, most recently in Edmonton, but always hoped Jeff Bonnor he would land in a town just like Camrose. He General Manager endeavors to create a sense of community with his staff, too, knowing that success comes by working as a team, being collaborators, having each other’s back, just like members of a tight-knit community who help neighbors and look out for each other. This sense of teamwork translates into better customer service, which is the focus of all Dave’s staff here in his Camrose store.

Gary strives to be a coach and mentor to his co-workers, empowering them to reach the next level of service. He has extensive knowledge of the automotive sector, having been a Parts Source commercial manager for several years. He’s also been on the ground floor of building new Canadian Tire stores, giving him a wide range of experience which he now employs in his role as store manager.
