Gunda “Grace” Manchester October 13, 1917 – April 24, 2013 Grace Manchester, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2013 at the age of 95 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose, Alberta. Grace was born in Hughenden, Alberta on October 13, 1917. Grace married Maynard Manchester of Evesham, Saskatchewan and together they raised their three children Darlene, Gary and David. Great-Grandma Grace loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was always ready for a dance with any of the grandsons at any of the five weddings. She was an avid reader, loved her crossword puzzles and she took pride in beating her daughtersin-law at a game of Scrabble. Her fondest memories are of the travelling she did with Maynard as his job took them to the southern USA, Hawaii, and Cuba (before the revolution). Also, Grace and Maynard took a trip of a lifetime when they travelled to Hallingdal, Norway in 1996 – both of her parents’ origins. Left to mourn her passing are her children Gary (Jane) Manchester of Sylvan Lake, and David (Marg) Manchester of Cochrane, and Darlene Manchester of Deep Cove, BC; six grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; one brother Lloyd Julson of Wetaskiwin; two sisters Lee Kleckner of Delta, BC and Joyce Kiddell of Camrose.
