The Authors Ariela Keysar Ariela Keysar is Research Fellow at the Center for Jewish Studies at the City University of New York Graduate Center. She is the Study Director of the CUNY American Jewish Identification Survey 2001. She served as associate director of the 1999 High School Survey of Conservative Youth under the auspices of the Ratner Center of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Dr. Keysar is co-author of The Next Generation: Jewish Children and Adolescents, SUNY Press, 2000.

Barry Kosmin Barry A. Kosmin is Executive Director of the London-based Institute for Jewish Policy Research. He was Founding Director of the North American Jewish Data Bank at the City University of New York Graduate Center and Research Director of the Council of Jewish Federations. Dr. Kosmin directed the CJF 1990 National Jewish Population Survey and is Co-Principal Investigator of the CUNY American Jewish Identification Survey 2001. His most recent publication on Jewish education is joint author of The Future of Jewish Schooling in the United Kingdom, JPR, London, 2001.

Sheldon Dorph Sheldon Dorph is the National Ramah Director, a position he has held since 1989. Dr. Dorph oversees a Ramah camping system of seven overnight camps and five day camps in Canada, the U.S. and Israel, serving over 5,000 campers and 1,500 staff. He is also Lecturer in Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary, teaching in the Davidson School of Education and the Rabbinical School. In 1996 Rabbi Dorph received the distinguished Shazar Prize from the Joint Authority for Jewish Education in the Diaspora for his work in Jewish Education and Hebrew Language.
