Photography Photography - Beginner Join us as we explore the dSLR camera and by doing so start to understand how the functions and controls of the camera allow us to create picture-perfect photographs! This ten-session course includes two field trips and provides a great introduction for digital (and film) photographers wanting to learn the functions of your camera (digital dSLR ; traditional film SLR) including exposure, light (metering and flash), depth of field and much more. This course will give you new confidence in your photographic technical abilities, allowing you much more control in creating the images that you are wanting to capture. Photography - Advanced DSLR Photography Take your creative and technical skills to the next level. Limited to only 10 students, this advanced DSLR photography course is designed for the serious photographer and camera enthusiast wanting to excel. With dynamic sessions centered in further studies in photographic theory, there will be field trips and a strong practical element to this course. Additional time will be required outside of scheduled classroom and field sessions. Prerequisite(s): Photography Level 1 and 2 recommended. Photography - Intermediate This level 2 photography course continues to build upon and refine the many functions and operations learned in the introduction sessions as there is always more to learn and understand as we work together towards the goal of creating great images. You will continue to improve your understanding and control of the photographic process and in doing so, become more confident in your abilities and skills. Topics include refined exposure, depth of field control and flash operations as well as continued discussions around photographic composition. You will have the opportunity to explore and refine these newly acquired techniques in two field trips offered in the course. Required: Compact cameras (manual functions/operations) are welcome, but digital or film SLR preferred. Prerequisite(s): Photography Level 1 strongly recommended, or equivalent skills.
