Darts Competition at Brading Town There will be a Darts Competition at Brading Town FC on Saturday 22nd October. All are welcome and it will take place in the club house. The cost for the event is ÂŁ10 and that is inclusive of food. The winner will receive prize money and the night starts at 7.30pm with signing-in, ready for an 8pm start. Ryde and District Cup Final Brading Town "A", current holders of the Ryde and District Cup, are in the final once again, on Thursday night. The game kicks-off at Newport's St. George's Park, at 19:30 and Town take on Oakfield Reserves. Urry returns to Laverstock & Ford The Wiltshire based Premier Division club have re-signed Danny Urry from Evo-Stik Premier Division side, Swindon Supermarine. Urry, who has also had a short stint at Salisbury City, made his Supermarine debut v Brackley Town earlier in the season, has now gone full circle and returned to The Dell. Burnett takes over at New Milton Town Glenn Burnett, former manager of Romsey Town, has been appointed as the new First Team Manager at New Milton Town. Burnett and John McFarlane both left Blackfield & Langley last weekend and following swift talks with Richard Phippard, Secretary of New Milton Town, Burnett was appointed as First Team Manager and took training on Thursday night for the Fawcetts Field outfit. John McFarlane has followed Burnett to Fawcetts Field. Tom Donaldson, previoulsy of Blackfield & Langley, has been Burnett's first capture after the Waterside club waved a 7-day approach for the left-sided midfielder and he is in line for a start in Town's FA Vase game against Alton Town on Saturday. After a struggling start, Alton Town are the only side to date that New Milton have beaten, and that was in the Hampshire Senior Cup. Richard Phippard, Secretary of New Milton Town, has spoken about the appointment: "We are thrilled with the appointment. Glenn has a good pedigree and did great things in this league with Romsey. He had next to nothing in the way of a budget and get them in to the top 10 on two occasions. Hopefully, and with the amount of time left in the season, he will be able to turn things round here." May back in business Steve May, former Manager of New Milton Town, is back in work already as player/ goalkeeping coach of Blackfield & Langley. May, who departed New Milton Town following their home defeat to Brading Town last weekend, returns to assist Louis Bell following the departure of Glenn Burnett and John McFarlane. Swann signs for Christchurch Jack Swann has signed for Premier Division side, Christchurch. Swann, who has previously played for Poole Town, Hamworthy United and Bournemouth Poppies, has been travelling around-the-world but has now returned to the South Coast and was a spectator during Christchurch's 2-1 home win against Alton Town on Tuesday night. Russell Cook, who is currently at Hurn Bridge on dual-registration terms with Poole Town, is likely to return to the Dolphins and Swann has been signed in a move to cover Cook's departure.
