Ambasciata d’Italia Vilnius ITALIAN-LITHUANIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Ambassador’s Word

I warmly welcome the second edition of the Italian wine producers’ catalogue “Made in Italy. Wine Catalogue‘17 for the World’s Distributors”. The update of the online catalogue has been realized by the Italian-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce (ILCC) in tight cooperation with the Embassy of Italy in Vilnius, “Enoteca Italiana” and “Associazione Nazionale Città del Vino”. The guide represents a unique opportunity offered to Lithuanian consumers and distributors in order to familiarize with the Italian best quality production, to help discover Italian wine makers active in the local market and to collect a large amount of information in order to understand this evolving and fascinating sector. In a few words, the catalogue is an opportunity for all players involved in the distribution and consumption of wine to be acquainted with the Italian production and wine business. The readers may find useful information about wine producers, addresses, phone number, website, e-mail, and the quality of the Italian offers in Lithuania.

The new guide 2017 coincides with a forecasted exceptional grape harvest year due to extraordinary weather and atmospheric conditions and precedes the 51st Edition of wine and spirits exhibition “Vinitaly” to be held in Verona from 9 to 12 of April 2017. It is a good opportunity to have a look at the catalogue and to plan a wine tour in Italy, Verona, “Vinitaly” and Veneto Region so rich of vineyards. Let me conclude by thanking the Italian-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce and its staff for the excellent work done and for its engagement to promote bilateral trade between our countries.

Welcome

Throughout the past 3000 years, since the Greeks brought the art of wine making to Southern Italy and Sicily, Italians were working on revealing all the secrets of wine to perfect the quality of taste.

From the South to the North, the map of 20 regions in our Belpaese offers a rich variety of wines. Similar types of wines are being made by other countries as well, but the taste of wine is nothing close to a flavour you can get only from Italian wine, because this wine, just like Italian cuisine, creates distinctive, one of a kind flavour sensations. As there is an increasing number of Italian wine producers that are interest ed in the development of commercial relations in other countries, the Italian-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce has a mission to represent “Made in Italy” brands for the whole world and foster trade relations between innovative Italian wine crafters and entrepreneurs. Selecting the best “Made in Italy” wines, we truly hope that “Made in Italy. Wine Catalogue‘17 for the World’s Distributors” will help you broaden your wine portfolio. Afer the descriptions of the companies, you will find their conacts. We kindly invite you to contact wine producers directly and discuss collaboration opportunities. Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce will be happy to help should you have any queries.

General Secretary Italian-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce Ugo Meucci

Ca’ Pigneto, the antique farm and historical family site, is located in the heart of Classical Valpolicella. The whole famous valley with a formidable complete view of the true heaven on earth has always been dedicated to a cultivation of the vineyard. It is a model farm of 15 ha of land that in its centre is dominated by an ancient aristocratic Villa built in the XVII century. The ancient agricultural tradition of Counts Serenelli is historically established all over the province of Verona since the times of Della Scala family (1200) and even now in this natural amphitheatre, in the privileged position of 350 m.a.s.l., Paola Adami Serenelli with her husband and sons are greatly passionate and dedicated to emulate their eminent descendants in the ”cultivation” and “culture” of the wine.

The wines of Ca’ Pigneto, Amarone, Ripasso, Recioto, are the result of accurate knowledge, tradition and projects that face the modernization of the family farm that in the last years has been enriched by new functional and autochthon installations. The red wines of Ca’ Pigneto are great wines for their quality and personality! They all have a great “calibre” and are great “meditation” wines, which contain the most various and unmistakable flavours of the famous valley. These wines go very well with many different kind of dishes and are unique for the typicality due to their microclimate.
