The Probate Court is also responsible for misdemeanor traffic citations, vital records, issuing marriage licenses and weapons-carry licenses, as well as various other duties. The Probate Court is a court of record, therefore all documents filed here are recorded in minute books and made available to the public.

The areas of offender supervision include: victims and their families, programs for offenders and their families, involvement in community activities, and partnerships with other criminal justice agencies. DCS also provides offenders the opportunity to make positive changes while in the community by providing individual support, programs and assistance.
