Matt Dickinson is a film-maker and writer who is best known for his award-winning novels and his documentary work for National Geographic Television, Discovery Channel and the BBC. Dickinson was one of the climbers caught in the 1996 Mount Everest disaster.

Maria Trafford is the new Assistant Headteacher (Academic) at CHS and will deliver a talk on 'How to be Smart' - this talk is aimed at pupils of all ages and it would be great to see parents and staff there too.

Human Rights & Storytelling

Sita Brahmachari won the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize with her debut 'Artichoke Hearts'. She is the current writer in residence at Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants and is also an Amnesty International ambassador. Visit Sita's website here: sitabrahmachari.com

The Importance of Leadership Darren Boylan is the Deputy Headteacher at Cambridge Home School and will deliver a talk on Leadership. This talk is aimed at pupils of all ages and touches on many things including sport and the Northern Ireland Peace Process. You will get an insight into Mr Boylan's childhood as well as understanding the key skills needed to be a strong leader.

Harry Baker World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker is a poet and a maths graduate. He writes about important stuff like hope, dinosaurs and German falafel-spoons. His work has been shared on TED.com and viewed millions of times worldwide, as well as being translated into over 20 different languages. In this talk he explores what it means when you are less concerned with fitting in and more excited about filling out to be the best version of yourself, and how it was through meaningful connections with others that he made it through lockdown to be back doing what he loves best, sharing his poems with you! “Harry Baker’s intricate, quick-fire rhymes have always been on the impressive side of mind-blowing” - The Scotsman

Nira Chamberlain (OBE) is a British mathematician based in Birmingham, UK. He is a Principal Consultant at SNC-Lavalin and from 2020 the President of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. He was awarded the OBE in 2022 for services to Mathematical sciences.
