Letter from the Editor-in-Chief

YOU KNOW THAT adage, “Time flies when you’re having fun”? Well, recently I was reminded of just how true it is. One of my colleagues was thumbing through the new issue of Cambria Style and mentioned that she still had a copy of our first issue with supermodel Cheryl Tiegs on the cover. I was blown away since Cambria Style made its debut in 2009. That was a dozen years ago!

I got up from my desk and stood in front of my bookshelf where I keep all our back issues. As I looked at the stack of magazines, each one containing stories of amazing people and design projects, I was proud to see how Cambria Style has grown with our brand, reflecting and celebrating Cambria’s commitment to great design.

That conversation with my colleague also affirmed my belief in the power of print. In a world where so much of our lives is conducted online, I think there’s real value in the things we can actually touch—which is why Cambria surfaces add so much beauty to a living environment. The power of print is why we’ve created The Cambria Post—to provide a vital, tangible connection between our people, our facilities, our partners, and our customers.

The ability to create things that matter is why I’m here at Cambria. When I started designing Cambria Style, I never dreamed I’d also be building a career. But, as a family-owned company, there’s endless opportunity for American-made innovation, quality, creativity—and fun!— at Cambria.

I’m proud to share this first issue of The Cambria Post with you. More than a newspaper, it’s a touchpoint for our Cambria community. I hope you and your family enjoy reading it as much as my team and I enjoyed creating it.

Warmly,

LouAnn Berglund Haaf
