CAMBRIA STYLE

Editor’s Letter LUXURY. If you are to ask someone what luxury is, their answer would probably involve a way of life. A way of life that most of us aspire to, but don’t feel we will ever live up to. The luxury that most of us forget is what we have woven into our Winter issue. You see, we think true luxury is not as simple as opulence or “the finer things in life,” but more about what you choose and how you choose to enjoy it. There is no better model for that philosophy than Andrea Bocelli. One of the most celebrated singers of all time, Bocelli, to those of us looking from the outside in, lives an opulent life. An existence akin to royalty, it would seem. Well, he is the king, but make no mistake, his kingdom consists of his family and their home. Speaking of which, the Bocellis recently acquired a new house in Miami Beach in preparation for Bocelli’s US tour. Not a family that likes to be apart, this addition will ensure those family ties stay tight. And as the Bocellis begin renovations on this new house, which will include a Cambria kitchen, they will be ready to create another home full of love, laughter, and music. To help you find your own true luxury, this issue has some exceptional stories, tips, recipes, and product picks that are sure to strike the perfect chord. Read how one couple put their retirement dreams on fast forward to spend more time with their family now by renovating a historic bed and breakfast with the help of a bevy of designers. Also, we offer up some delectable family-style brunch ideas that will have even the finickiest of eaters staying at the table for seconds. We even amp up dinnertime with a table setting that begs for a night to linger. To round it out, check out a home office for any space and a laundry that works for you, all designed to give you more time to choose and enjoy the luxury in your life.
