“A varied collective of many of San Diego’s most skilled performers, Beth Ross Buckley’s Camarada has consistently delivered the goods for the last 25 seasons, whether the fare has been standard repertory classical chamber music, challenging contemporary compositions, jazz, dance, or the music of Latin America.” KEN HERMAN San Diego Story

WELCOME Dear Friends, I have always been interested in presenting concerts that enliven all of the senses – sound, sight, taste, touch, smell. This idea came to me 28 years ago when I attended a concert AND art exhibition of Arnold Schoenberg in Vienna, along with food and wine. It was such a full and exciting experience that it remained with me to this day. I have since worked to share and inspire the sense of wonder I felt on that trip though our chamber music group in San Diego – which ultimately, after many names, became Camarada. This year Camarada celebrates our “sixth” sense – A Sense of Wonder – which is always there if we allow the time and space. Wonder and awe are essential to a passionate life. The sense of wonder speaks of our hunger to be moved, to be engaged and impassioned with the world and take pleasure in it, attuned to it and fascinated by it. Grateful for it. A sense of wonder is our desire to feel radically alive…and it asks us to continually seek out these enlivening moments. — Gregg Levoy, Psychology Today Please be our guest as we present our most thoughtful programming on our mission to inspire, delight and enliven your life. Our 27th season (yessss) offers all of us, musicians and audiences, a pause in our daily routine to feel radically alive. Thank you for joining us! XOXO, Beth
